Mae Mei & Me is a selection of work made in collaboration between model Mae Mei Lapres and photographer Sarah Fuchs.

As two people working within the fashion industry—a world that often chases perfection, scale, and youth—this project is a quiet attempt to show that compelling images don’t require big budgets, but rather creativity and a sense of play.

The photographs are made with no crew and no funding, using what we find around us. Mae Mei does her own styling, makeup, and hair; Sarah handles set design and photography. What began as a single shoot has become a ritual each time Sarah visits Paris. A series of portraits has emerged, shaped by repetition, improvisation, and the strange intimacy of creating with someone you barely know.
